Masterson’s Lounge, positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, markets itself as a trendy “hipster” hangout , but my recent visit at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may look welcoming at first glance , what I experienced behind its doors was disturbing and far below any standard .

From the moment I walked in , it was evident that sanitation was not a priority at this bar . The surfaces were tacky , and a pungent odor of stale beer and uncleaned toilets filled the entire establishment . Smelling a mixture of urine , putrefaction and sour vomit . The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was cluttered with dirty glasses and debris that looked like it had accumulated over weeks.
